Children of the Village

Hola desde Ecuador!

One of the aspects of this village that we have really liked has been interacting with the local children from our community. Since all the local students are on vacation, the community asked us if we could do activities with them in the afternoon. We spend our first afternoon with the students on Wednesday. It was  amazing. We played soccer and Duck Duck Goose. Starting next Sunday, there will be an activity every day mixed with their English lessons.

It was a beautiful day, the sun came out and we were able to walk around the rest of our village.

One of the children that has made our visit so much fun is named, Bastian. He is the son of Marisol, one of our cooks. Bastian is always in the kitchen with her. He loves playing ball, playfully saying, “NO” to everything, and refers to all of the students as the babies of the house.

We are looking forward to more play time and interaction with the community!

Bastian! His cheeks are so big and cute that his eyes close when he smiles!
